Cadejo’s bassist Jaeho once said this to me: “When I was trying so hard to be good, no one really noticed. But once I started making mistakes while just being myself, people finally began to see me.” Did you know that in Korean, the word “Areumdapda” (which means “beautiful”) is said to have “Areum” — meaning “me (我)” — at its root? So in a way, to be beautiful can also mean to be true to yourself. I made a documentary capturing the studio recording process of Cadejo’s 4th album, [ENDLESS] — a band that plays more beautifully, more themselves, than anyone I know.
